    The Carlisle Dance, with its accompanying potluck dinner, is known as the most sociable dance in the area. Arrive at 6:30 for  dinner and conversation, and then dance from 8 until 10. Live music by the Carlisle Band, who bring an eclectic collection of instruments. Outstanding local callers call mostly contradances, plus occasional square and circle dances. Admission is just $6-10 (self-determined sliding scale) for all ages, along with your tasty and creative contribution for the meal. The concert features iconic songs of iconic movies – from “Casa Blanca” to “Titanic” to “Barbie” and many familiar films in between.     Boxborough Museum 575 Middle Road, Boxborough, MA

    The Boxborough Museum at 575 Middle Road is open on second Sundays from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.  Come see Boxborough’s historic treasures including the 1850’s scale which is sensitive enough to weigh a penny and strong enough to calibrate a 50 pound weight, the “new” hearse built in 1881, and the “old” hearse (come and see how old is old).  Admission is free and all are welcome.     Join the Acton 250 Committee and Freedom's Way National Heritage Area for a play recounting when the Acton Town Meeting put its support behind the proposed Declaration of Independence that took place on June 14th, 1776. Based on historical research, Acton, along with several communities, will take part in this series commemorating the momentum behind the Declaration of Independence. Each week, you’ll learn science-backed mental health skills in a supportive setting, including mindful awareness, stress management, and ideas for finding meaning and fulfillment in everyday life. The series is led by Jenn Staples, PhD, Clinical Psychologist and Founder of guts, a nonprofit dedicated to making evidence-based mental health tools accessible to the community. Participants will be asked to complete brief surveys during the series to help us understand what is most helpful and how we can continue improving

    The event will take place on Friday, June 19, 2026, from 1:00–4:00 PM at Acton Congregational Church and the grounds of Acton Memorial Library. This year’s theme is Black Art as a Form of Resistance, Storytelling, and Cultural Preservation. The afternoon will feature a keynote speaker, Adam Clayton Powell IV, an African drumming workshop on the library lawn delivered by Crocodile River, spoken word poetry, in collaboration with the ABRHS Black Student Union and a monthlong Juneteenth book recommendation wall at Acton Memorial Library. Hosted by the Acton Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Commission, in partnership with Acton Congregational Church, Acton Memorial Library, and the AB Regional High School
