The event will take place on Friday, June 19, 2026, from 1:00–4:00 PM at Acton Congregational Church and the grounds of Acton Memorial Library.
This year’s theme is Black Art as a Form of Resistance, Storytelling, and Cultural Preservation.
Schedule:
1:00 PM — Welcome and Opening Remarks at Acton Congregational Church
1:15 PM — Keynote Program featuring Adam Clayton Powell IV, Professor of Engineering at WPI and grandson of activist, pianist, and performer Hazel Scott
2:00 PM — Crocodile River Dance: African Drumming and Dance Workshop on the library lawn
3:00 PM — Spoken Word and Poetry Program featuring student and community voices
4:00 PM — Program Concludes
