This year’s theme is Black Art as a Form of Resistance, Storytelling, and Cultural Preservation. Schedule:  1:00 PM — Welcome and Opening Remarks at Acton Congregational Church 1:15 PM — Keynote Program featuring Adam Clayton Powell IV, Professor of Engineering at WPI and grandson of activist, pianist, and performer Hazel Scott 2:00 PM — Crocodile River Dance: African Drumming and Dance Workshop on the library lawn 3:00 PM — Spoken Word and Poetry Program featuring student and community voices 4:00 PM — Program Concludes Hosted by the Acton

Bruce Freeman Rail Trail Solstice Ride

Join the Friends of the Bruce Freeman Rail Trail (FBFRT) for our annual summer solstice ride and walk. Join us for a walk or ride on the BFRT, then join the Friends for post-ride/walk pizza. Meet at Pedal Power Bike & Ski in Acton and ride or walk as much of the trail as you want, returning for pizza with the Friends.
