Join local historian Amy Cole at the Acton Memorial Library as she discusses highlights as well as lesser-known aspects of East Acton's history. East Acton is a well-preserved time capsule of Acton’s history. Although not formally classified as a Historic District, the village of East Acton played a significant role in the development of Acton. Topics include Native American history, the role Nashoba Brook, the importance of Captain Joseph Robbins and his family, Woodlawn Cemetery, and more. Visit Acton Senior Rainbow Connections (previously known as the Rainbow Planning Team) table at this year’s Acton-Westford Pride Festival at the NARA Park Amphitheater, 25 Ledge Rock Way, Acton. This group, previously called the Rainbow Planning Team, consists of LGBTQ+ older adults as well as municipal employees, friends, and allies.
