This coming week, the Acton Exchange Team is taking a break. That doesn’t mean you have to!
As you and your family or friends partake in an Independence Day celebration, historic re-enactment, or even a local camp or summer school, please write about it and send a short article to us. Are you sweating through local outdoor work or a desk job? Just snap a pic and send us an email at info@actonexchange.org. Please send only one photo at a time due to technical peculiarities of our system.
This slow news period is sometimes called “silly season”. When news is sparse, we print the frivolous. So, send us your frivolous.
Too tired to even write? Just send the photograph. We plan to start publishing collections of “seen around town” photos soon. Or, send us a drawing of what you are experiencing. Or just go back to words and drop us an email about whatever. If you can’t keep your opinions out of it, make it a letter.
The next deadline is Tuesday, July 7. The next new issue will come out the weekend of July 11. Do note that we will take another week off in August. We will also combine our summer All Hands Meetings into a single, July 22 meeting. Keep an eye on the newsletter (sent to subscribers) for more details. Subscribing is free.
Franny Osman is editor-in-chief at the Acton Exchange. She couldn’t do it without the whole editorial team and other publication volunteers. Thank you to Kim, Miriam, Janet, Tom, Alyssa, and Susan–all very deserving of this vacation.
