After years of dreaming and relationship building, the Town of Acton was able to acquire the 33-acre land with help from several funding sources, including, the Residents of Acton through the Community Preservation Act, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts’ Local Acquisition for Natural Diversity (LAND) Grant, Acton Conservation Trust, and Sudbury Valley Trustees (SVT). With the help of patient property owners and the will of the residents of Acton, this new land adjoins the neighboring 73-acre Wetherbee Conservation Land to create 100+ acres of continuously protected and critical habitat. Reservations are no longer required nor accepted.
