The Boxborough Museum at 575 Middle Road is open on second Sundays from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.  Come see Boxborough’s historic treasures including the 1850’s scale which is sensitive enough to weigh a penny and strong enough to calibrate a 50 pound weight, the “new” hearse built in 1881, and the “old” hearse (come and see how old is old).  Admission is free and all are welcome. “I Hiked Acton’s Trails!”  Walk the trails in Acton’s conservation areas with the goal of earning a sticker and a sew-on patch! These weekly walks are a joint effort between Acton Conservation Trust and Acton Conservation Division. We’ll walk a different conservation area weekly. Check out the “I Hiked Acton’s Trails” Challenge form HERE for more information about the challenge. Date: Wednesdays from September 3 to November 19. Once you register, the location of each hike will be sent out each Sunday before the walk. Time: 2:30-4:00 pm. Plan to arrive a few minutes early as we will start our hikes on time. John Hedly has been a beekeeper for 17 years. He is the former librarian for the Worcester County Beekeepers Association and a two-term member of the WCBA Board of Directors. In 2024, he was voted Beekeeper of the Year by the WCBA. Come to learn more about bee keeping and a honeybee colony!
