  • Opioid Settlement: What’s it all about

    The Opioid Settlement is a stream of funding for Massachusetts cities and towns to address substance misuse and substance use disorder. The fund is a result of a class action lawsuit against makers and distributors of opioids from the early 2000's to the date of the settlement by the Attorney General's Office. Each community's funding is based on a few factors, but the really important thing to know is how we can spend the money. To understand this, we will review the scope of substance use disorders and supports to help people lead healthier lives. Presented by Acton's Director of

    Open to out-of-towners 60+ starting April 6th for $20/series Come tickle your funny bone through an exploration of the art, science and silliness of comedy! Whether you are the class clown or worry you haven’t a funny bone in your body, this class is a perfect place to express (or discover) your inner comedian. In early weeks, we’ll learn the principles of comedy scenes through improvisational games.     Town of Acton Memorial Day Parade and Ceremonies The parade leaves the Spruce Street side of the Boardwalk Campus at 10:00 am sharp and proceeds along following route: Spruce Street to Mass Ave. to Windsor Ave. into Mt. Hope Cemetery. Main Ceremony at 10:45 AM at Mt. Hope Cemetery. Parade continues up to West Acton Common where an  abbreviated ceremony is held before parade dismissal.
