Have you tried the Acton 250 Committee’s Isaac Davis Brown Ale? Join the Acton 250 Committee April 17th at Dirigible Brewing Company as we reintroduce our commemorative ale in time for the 250th celebration of American Independence. This ale is representative of one beer style available to the colonial patriots. Dirigible Brewing will have this on draft, in cans, and on cask. Food trucks will be on site.

    Iron Work Farm: Patriot’s Day Spirit

    Tour the Faulkner House and enjoy living history and colonial games from 1 to 3:30. At the end of the afternoon the Acton Minutemen will gather, with musket drills followed by a re-enactment commemorating the alarm rider who brought the news of the British marching on Concord. The horse and rider will leave Concord Road (at the soccer field) at 5:00 pm, with the eventual best viewing at the Faulkner house (about 5:30 pm).  Parking on nearby public lots. Presented by Iron Work Farm.

    Join the Acton Minutemen as they recreate the march to Concord over the trail that Issac Davis and his men traveled that fateful day, now identified by stone markers labeled “Line of March, April 19, 1775.” The march will begin at the Issac Davis homestead at 39 Hayward Road and end at the North Bridge in Concord.

  • Acton Historical Society: Hosmer House open house

    The Acton Historical Society invites you to tour the 1760 Jonathon Hosmer House and to view a collection of artifacts associated with Acton’s history. Also on the property is an 1830’s barn with an exhibit of agricultural tools, including an early fire pump (fire engine), a horse-drawn sleigh and a farm wagon.  Admission is free with donations accepted. Parking is available on the premises.
