The Friends of the Acton Libraries will hold a live and in person used book sale. Members of the Friends are invited to a preview of the sale on Friday, May 30 from 7 pm until 9 pm. Both cash and credit cards are accepted! Be sure your membership is up to date before the big Friends Used Book Sale so you can have first crack at the great selection of used books at the sale preview. Richard Amir entertained locally in early March.  He was such a hit, the Acton Woman’s Club invited him to perform for the public in the upstairs ballroom of their Federalist-style antique Clubhouse.  Richard’s performance is a blend of music and storytelling.  After a 40 year career in business, Richard taught himself to play the piano at age 66 and discovered a new career. This free performance is offered to the public to celebrate the 110th  Anniversary of the founding of the Acton Woman’s Club, with financial support from the Acton/Boxborough Cultural Council.  For more information about the Club, go to
