Join Cheryl Stedtler, founder and director of Project Mishoon, for an immersive journey into underwater archaeology, Indigenous heritage, and 1640s canoe discoveries that are reshaping New England’s historical narrative. History emerges from beneath the surface. Cheryl is an enrolled citizen of the Hassanamisco Nipmuc Band, where she serves on the Tribal Council. With a background in microbiology and clinical trials project management, Cheryl blends a systems-oriented approach with traditional knowledge. She is also an editor for Dawnland Voices: An Anthology of Writing from Indigenous New England. For bakers only, on Saturday, October 11, pies must be delivered to the library between noon-2pm for judging. For bakers and the public, come to the library on Sunday, October 12 at 2pm to celebrate the winners and get a slice (or two) of delicious pie, a donut, or a glass of cider! After all, there's no such thing as a bad apple pie!

The Boxborough Museum at 575 Middle Road is open on second Sundays from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.  Come see Boxborough’s historic treasures including the 1850’s scale which is sensitive enough to weigh a penny and strong enough to calibrate a 50 pound weight, the “new” hearse built in 1881, and the “old” hearse (come and see how old is old).  Admission is free and all are welcome.
