Acton COA presents: A Journey Through the Roots of American Popular Music Live Performance

This Council on Aging (COA) program blends live performance, storytelling and visuals about the origins of blues, rock and country music presented by singer and songwriter Jon Waterman. In the show, Jon is joined by Li Waterman on bass. Fascinating characters and events that are part of the history and the role of music in our lives will be explored. Jon and Li’s programs are enthusiastically received in Acton. This program is supported by a grant from the Acton-Boxborough Cultural Council, a local agency, which is supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency. Open to all seniors/free

Earth Month: Teen Invasive Plant Brigade

See all events for Earth Month (and Invasive Species Month) here: April is invasive species and earth month! FOR TEENS!!! Along with the Acton Libraries Teen Advisory Group, spend an afternoon with the Acton Sustainability Office to remove invasive plants from our parks around town. Earn volunteer hours and help eradicate invasive species from Acton's parks and roadways. Sign up at the Acton Libraries website.
