The Acton Woman’s Club held its end-of-year spring luncheon on May 20 at the Wedgewood Pines Country Club in Stow. The Woman’s Club celebrated its 110th anniversary this year along with the 250th anniversary of the founding of our country. Past presidents in attendance were honored with a single red rose: Paula Walsh, Susan Harrigan, Betty Crouse, Lori Lewis, Corinne LaRoche and Carolyn Kilpatrick.

The Acton Woman’s Club (Club) is always looking for new members, women who are interested in participating in the social and benevolent work of the organization. The Club gives scholarships annually to two students graduating from Acton-Boxborough Regional High School. It supports local food pantries, serves meals, and donates to other community and school endeavors. Members also have fun through monthly social activities, and special interest groups for antiques aficionados and museum goers, theater and concert fans, weekly Bridge and Mah Jongg players, and a monthly book group. Monthly luncheons held in the historic clubhouse include a program that educates, informs, and entertains the membership. For more information or if you would like an invitation to be a guest at one of the events, ask a member or contact them through the website.
