  • AB STEAM Student Hackathon: Flood solutions

    Calling all students (grades 7 - 12) and residents interested in acting locally to help reduce the local impacts of flooding. The issue: How can we reduce flooding and the impacts of flooding in Acton in a way that is economical, sustainable, and socially and environmentally friendly? Are you a problem solver? Interested in environmental science and sustainability? Join a team or create your own team to develop strategies to reduce flooding and earn community service hours in the process. The first step for this event is a tour of Acton's flood prone areas (exact location provided after you register).

  • ACT: Spring Nature Walk with Boot Boutwell

    Join the Acton Conservation Trust (ACT) for a walk with our favorite storyteller and naturalist, Roland “Boot” Boutwell. Boot will lead us on a walk of 1-2 miles, identifying plants and trees along the way. Listen to stories of the woods and view seasonal growth in a new light. Boot teaches nature programs and leads nature walks for Sudbury Valley Trustees and other local conservation trusts.  Parking and meeting location will be sent a few days before the event.This is a members only event.
