You will learn basic English speaking skills to talk about yourself, family, home, community, as well as time, money, shopping, and weather. The class is free, but registration is required. Join the conversation, work on optional weekly prompts or use the time to work on an existing project that your passionate about. All writing levels welcome! Optional Prompt: Take a pre-existing piece of your writing, or write a new piece (1-3 pages), and then rewrite it in the style of your favorite author. Looking to practice your English speaking skills? Join a free conversation group with English At Large to build your skills and confidence speaking English in a group setting with the support of trained facilitators. When: Weekly on Mondays from 6:15-7:15pm, Sept 22-Dec 15 Where: Acton Memorial Library, 2nd floor English At Large conversation groups are for intermediate to advanced adult English language learners to practice speaking and listening for 90 minutes once per week. Join a group of 10-12 learners and 2 facilitators to discuss topics including American culture and holidays, idioms, and daily life situations. Registration starts September 1st. Sign

Optional Prompt: Write a one page or longer story, scene or outline in the first-person. When you've finished, write the passage again but from the third person. You can write it in the second-person as well.
