Spring brings flowers and construction

McManus Manor

Acton Housing Authority Elderly/Disabled Rental Units at 362 Main St. The exterior of the buildings are nearly complete. The Acton Exchange has published several articles about McManus Manor, including from the rainy groundbreaking in May of 2025.

Acton’s own Dog Park

According to the park’s website: “Woodall Construction will be back at the dog park site this week to start the final phase of work: installing benches, water fountains, and a storage shed; adding the last layer of ground cover; finishing the parking area; installing signs and waste stations.” Ribbon cutting is scheduled for June 5.

9 School St

Building progresses on the commercial/residential project at 9 School St, South Acton. Local builder Jeanson Builders Contractors is framing the structure.

Marcus Lewis Racquet Club

After a few stops and starts and slowed by a snowy cold winter, drainage and foundation work is underway for the new Marcus Lewis tennis and pickle ball facility off Nagog Park Road. According to the latest company newsletter, the new club hopes to open in August.

Aldi’s

The grocery store’s new sign was installed on Powdermill Road in South Acton, as build-out of the retail space continues.

A sign with the blue and orange Aldi logo is now on the corner of Rt. 62 and High Street.
