Author Dinner Party is BACK, and it's going to be right down the street with our new BFFs at Silver Girl Restaurant. We can't wait to kick off this new partnership with Silver Girl, and our first Author Dinner Party is going to feature three amazing local authors in Mark Cecil, Tova Mirvis, and Ellen Ruppel Shell. Doors will open at 6 pm on Tuesday, May 20th, and by purchasing a ticket, you get the chance to meet three fascinating authors while enjoying dinner and literary discussion in cozy West Acton Village. Each year, publishers send us Advanced Review Copies, or ARCs, of books that are yet to be published, so that we can read them ahead of time. After the book is published, they become obsolete. We don't want to throw them away, because that would be wasteful, but they take up a lot of room, so we have to get rid of them somehow, and also, we are not allowed to profit from the sale of them. Our solution -- the ARC Sale! ALL proceeds go to the Acton Food Pantry. This is what we call a WIN, WIN, WIN.
