The Acton-Boxborough Science Technology Engineering Art Math (AB STEAM) team invites you to celebrate spring       on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, 2:30-4pm (AB elementary school half-day)  to explore local nature at the Acton Arboretum! This guided nature walk will be led by Acton's own naturalist, Ian Bergemann, from the Acton Conservation Division. FREE Family-friendly event (Age 5+ children + adults). Calling all students (grades 7 - 12) and residents interested in acting locally to help reduce the local impacts of flooding. The issue: How can we reduce flooding and the impacts of flooding in Acton in a way that is economical, sustainable, and socially and environmentally friendly? Are you a problem solver? Interested in environmental science and sustainability? Join a team or create your own team to develop strategies to reduce flooding and earn community service hours in the process. The first step for this event is a tour of Acton's flood prone areas (exact location provided after you register).

Please join us for a FREE Guided Nature Walk at one of Acton’s Conservation lands with our guide, Ian Bergemann with the Town of Acton Conservation Division.
