The New York Bagel Factory had its grand opening on Saturday, January 31. The store is in the Brookside Mall, next to Staples. Owner Randal Noller said business was brisk all morning. He and a partner own three other locations in eastern Mass.

The layout is like the previous occupant, KJ Caffe, with a large seating area to the left as you enter and a service counter on the right. The bagels are baked every morning on site and are boiled (not steamed) in the authentic New York bagels way. They are served with requisite cream cheeses of many flavors. Besides bagels, the New York Bagel Factory offers breakfast all day and a lunch menu featuring Carnegie deli meats straight from Manhattan’s Carnegie Delicatessen.

Hours: 6am to 3pm, every day.
