Nepal: Jeanette’s trip to Nepal during a revolution! Nov 1 6-8 pm
Jeanette Staley, a Vermont-based artist and activist, had just arrived in Kathmandu, Nepal when a revolution broke out! She’ll share with us her experience with art-making in Kathmandu, a brief hike in Nargokot, meeting an elephant in Chitwan, her visit to a rural school of the lowest caste on the south eastern plains of Nepal and what happened when a revolution not only broke out near where she was in lock down, but was successful!
She’ll show us photos and other media and artifacts she collected, and of course, share stories of her wonderful adventures…
Please park in the driveway, in front of the Citizen’s Library (old yellow house) across the street, in the Pearl St. parking lot, or on Mass. Ave.
Eating and drinking in the kitchen area only. No pets.
Donations accepted for the school that Jeanette visited.
