Great Decisions is America's largest discussion program on world affairs. The program model involves reading the Great Decisions Briefing Book and meeting in a Discussion Group to discuss the most critical global issues facing America today. This months topic will be on NATO. A short article is available from the Great Decisions briefing book. Please read it ahead of the meeting. It is available in the library. Visitors can enjoy the Museum and the Discovery Woods outdoor nature playscape and Treehouse with free admission from 4:30pm to 8:00pm every Friday night from June 20 until Labor Day. Reservations are no longer required nor accepted. The Museum will gratefully accept non-perishable food items for Open Table and Acton Food Pantry in lieu of admission, though a food donation is not required for admission. Looking for a family-friendly fun way to spend Labor Day weekend? Come to Stow on Saturday, August 30 (12–4 PM) for the 4th Annual Assabet Craft Beer & Food Truck Festival! Enjoy craft beer from five local brewers, eats from six food trucks, and live music from Sugar High. Kids will love the Carnival Games area—playground, face painting, and 25+ games to keep them busy all afternoon. General admission is $10 donation per person; kids 12 and under are free.
