The Town of Acton has engaged Howard Stein Hudson to study feasible Complete Streets accommodations for the Stow Street corridor from the Stow town line to the Martin Street, Stow Street, Liberty Street intersection, including the Jones Field Playground. The purpose of this meeting is to share two complete streets design alternatives that have been drafted by Howard Stein Hudson based off residents’ feedback from the first public meeting and a survey. All feedback and input regarding the design concepts will be recorded and used to inform the finalized designs. Engineers will be available to answer questions. Stay Engaged:  Questions

This unique performance blends stories from the beloved books by Laura Ingalls Wilder with live music to bring to life the music that was a vital part of the pioneers’ lives. There are 127 songs and tunes mentioned in the books, many played by Laura’s “Pa,” an expert fiddler. Many of the songs are well known, such as those by Stephen Foster, but some will be new to you. Performers are Patricia Sette, narrator, singer and author of the script; David Shnaider, narrator singer and guitar player; Ann Seigel, fiddler. The audience is invited to join in on many songs!

Join Asako Judson to learn about Korean rice cakes called tteok (pronounced “tok”) and a popular dish made with them called tteokbokki (pronounced “tok-bo-ki”). The ingredients and how they are used will be explained. Two versions will be demonstrated: a slightly spicy snack-style dish and another version that can be served as dinner. Registration is required; please inform the COA if you find you cannot attend. Asako Judson, who lives in Acton, has worked at several restaurants and as a private chef and caterer.
