  • Veteran’s Day Commemoration

    The Town of Acton’s Department of Veteran Services and the Celebrations and Ceremonies Committee invite all community members to join in honoring our nation’s Veterans at this year’s Veterans Day Ceremony. The ceremony will take place outdoors, weather permitting, at the Isaac Davis Monument on the Town Common. In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will be moved indoors to the Faulkner Room (Room 204) at Town Hall. Attendees are encouraged to park behind Town Hall or the Fire Station.

    The Acton Community Services Office within the Department of Health and Human Services, in partnership with MetroWest Legal Services, will host a monthly housing legal clinic beginning in January.  Housing Legal Clinic appointments will begin on Jan. 14 and will be held on the second Tuesday of each month from 4-6 p.m. at the Human Service and Senior Center, 30 Sudbury Road Rear. Before you attend a session, you must complete the following registration form, which can be found here. The program, which is funded by the American Rescue Plan Act, will run until Dec. 31, 2026.

    “I Hiked Acton’s Trails!”  Walk the trails in Acton’s conservation areas with the goal of earning a sticker and a sew-on patch! These weekly walks are a joint effort between Acton Conservation Trust and Acton Conservation Division. We’ll walk a different conservation area weekly. Check out the “I Hiked Acton’s Trails” Challenge form HERE for more information about the challenge. Date: Wednesdays from September 3 to November 19. Once you register, the location of each hike will be sent out each Sunday before the walk. Time: 2:30-4:00 pm. Plan to arrive a few minutes early as we will start our hikes on time.
