Great Decisions is America's largest discussion program on world affairs. The program model involves reading the Great Decisions Briefing Book and meeting in a Discussion Group to discuss the most critical global issues facing America today. This months topic will be on U.S. Foreign Policy @ 100 Days. A short article is available from the Great Decisions briefing book. Please read it ahead of the meeting. It is available in the library.
We have reached a critical time as Supreme Court cases and some state laws have eroded civil and voting rights protections along with a resurgence of white supremacist activities across the country. This has contributed to increased discontent and polarization with no clear resolution and these challenges weaken the bonds of our communities. Are you curious about what types of wetlands there are? Or which species are native to wetlands? Explore the wonderful world of wetlands with the Acton Conservation Division’s Community Conservation Specialist, Ian Bergemann. The presentation will take a deep dive into how to identify different wetland environments, why wetlands are often seen as bad places, and how wetlands are protected. Lastly, we will explore how wetlands protect us!

Visitors can enjoy the Museum and the Discovery Woods outdoor nature playscape and Treehouse with free admission from 4:30pm to 8:00pm every Friday night from June 20 until Labor Day. Reservations are no longer required nor accepted. The Museum will gratefully accept non-perishable food items for Open Table and Acton Food Pantry in lieu of admission, though a food donation is not required for admission.
