All’s well that ends well: DPW services include cat rescue

The Acton Department of Public Works (DPW) keeps our town plowed, swept, trimmed, painted, and both safe and beautiful in many ways, both seen and unseen. Earlier this week, Tree Warden Ryan Hunt responded to a slightly different request. A resident on Hillcrest Road called saying that their cat was stuck in a tree and asked if the DPW could help. Hunt rescued the high-climbing cat using the bucket truck.

A picture of bushes, then some tall trees. A tortoiseshell cate is on some skinny branches, looking very unamused.
Where’s the kitty? Waaay up in the tree and in need of a lift back to earth. Photo: Ryan Hunt

The town manager thanked Ryan Hunt for going above (literally) and beyond.
