Acton Exchange rolls out sponsorship program

September 20, 2025

Effective with this week’s edition, the Acton Exchange is rolling out a sponsorship program, providing a way for local businesses and organizations to help build a vibrant, lively, engaged community through their financial support of local journalism, while at the same time increasing the visibility of their enterprise.

The first six sponsors are Acton Dental Associates, Acton Lions Club, Emerson Health, Gallant Insurance Agency, Scheier Katin & Epstein attorneys, and Siesta Sleepworks. Sponsors’ logos are displayed on the Acton Exchange website, and each logo links to the sponsor’s own website. A dedicated Sponsors page on the Acton Exchange site provides information about the products or services provided by all the sponsors, along with contact information.

Asked about the value of the sponsorship program for advancing local journalism, Acton Exchange Treasurer Bob Miller wrote: “The new sponsorship program will help The Acton Exchange achieve long term sustainability and growth. Our fundraising goal is to build a cash reserve and then hire and maintain a small professional staff to support the dozens of volunteer journalists who build community connections and cover all aspects of Acton life. These inaugural sponsors believe in assuring this local non-partisan news effort reaches sustainability. It’s my hope that our readership reciprocates in appreciating their contribution to our community.”

Asked about the value to the sponsoring businesses and organizations, John Kendrick of the Fundraising/Marketing Team, wrote: “Organizations that become sponsors of the Acton Exchange benefit in multiple ways. Perhaps most importantly, they build goodwill with our readers. Sponsors have demonstrated their commitment to our town, and readers can thank them by supporting their businesses. Sponsors enjoy ongoing exposure to Acton’s active, engaged residents through display of their logo and web link at multiple locations throughout the Acton Exchange website, plus a welcome message in the emailed Weekly Newsletter.”

Sponsorships are available at gold, silver, and bronze levels; higher level sponsors feature more prominently on the Acton Exchange website. Potential sponsors can learn more on the About Sponsorship page, and can open a conversation with the sponsorship team via the Become a Sponsor page. Donations from individuals are still welcomed via the Donate page.
