Business Briefs: Jimmy John’s opens in Great Road Dunkin’s

May 23, 2026

May 16. For Acton-area sub sandwich fans, Acton has a new entry; a Jimmy John’s shop now shares space with Dunkin’s at 182 Great Road. Before the ribbon cutting, Select Board member David Martin read a citation from the town.

Several people are lined up in front of an ordering counter. Two people are holding a ribbon. A third is cutting the ribbon with oversized scissors.

Mark Pesce and his wife Megan own 63 Dunkin’s in Massachusetts, including all four Acton branches. Four branches currently share space with Jimmy John’s, and rumor has it that one other Acton Dunkin’ shop may be added to that list.

For readers who are not familiar with Jimmy John’s, their website promises sandwiches made with bread baked in store every four hours, hand-sliced locally-purchased fresh produce, and minimally processed meats with no artificial ingredients. Also, lettuce-wrapped Unwiches: “All sandwich, no bread.”
