Allan David Gulliver, Jr. (71) passed away on August 30 after a lengthy illness.

He was born and raised in Greenwich, CT, the beloved first son of Allan Gulliver and Porter Jeanne (Hogan) Gulliver. He attended Greenwich parochial schools and graduated from Brunswick School. Lifelong friends were made at Tufts University, where he graduated with a degree in economics. He received his MBA from Babson College and worked in finance/leasing for most of his career.
Allan would like to be remembered as a family man and loyal friend. His greatest joy was raising his two children, Mairin Gulliver (Dave Cote) and Christopher Gulliver, with his former wife and enduring friend, Jenny Gulliver. He felt especially blessed to have known his two grandchildren, Elise and Henry Gulliver.
Allan also leaves behind his sisters, Lynne Gulliver Erkkinen (John), Susan Gulliver Carlson (Peter), Pamela Maffei McCarthy (Joe), Mary Frances Maffei, and Susan Maffei Plowden (John), as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends. He was predeceased by his brother, David, his parents, and his stepmother, Mary Frances Blynn.
In life Allan cared deeply about food insecurity, especially during challenging times. He volunteered for many years at the Acton Food Pantry. In death, he would like anyone who wishes to remember him to please donate to that organization at www.actonfoodpantry.com.
At Allan’s request, burial will be private.
