Open Door Theater of Acton and Think Outside the Vox (Vox) are proud to present the fourth annual Ask Me Fair, a living library experience designed for families and open to all. This is a free event on Saturday, July 19 from 2:30-4:30 p.m. at Sargent Memorial Library in Boxborough, with support from the Mass Cultural Council and the Acton-Boxborough Community Compass (formerly AB United Way).

The Ask Me Fair was founded by president of Open Door Theater and co-founder of Vox, Sam Gould, in 2019 after her daughter experienced anti-semitism at her elementary school. “The purpose of this event is to provide a safe space for intentional and respectful conversations that will promote empathy, acceptance and tolerance while dispelling stereotypes and fear of those who are different,” says Gould.
This year’s presenters are a diverse group of adults who have a variety of disabilities, cultural backgrounds, and professional experiences as artists, musicians, activists, advocates, and scientists. Together, presenters and attendees will engage in small group discussions to explore intersectionality and foster curiosity and community.
Accessibility features of this free event include ASL (American Sign Language) interpreters, closed captions, audio description, sighted guides, braille materials, and audio description. The venue has wheelchair-accessible entrances and bathrooms. Refreshments and prizes will be provided. Pre-registration is requested at tinyURL.com/AskMeFair2025.
