SUMMARY:Acton Public Workshop: Bellows Farm Dam
DESCRIPTION:The Town of Acton is holding the first public workshop to discuss the removal of the Bellows Farm Mill dam and replacement of the Carlisle Road bridge in Acton.  \nThe workshop will be held online. Register for the Zoom link at https://arcg.is/0v9Cjq0. \nThe Town of Acton is working with SLR Consulting to prepare preliminary designs for the dam removal and bridge replacement. During the workshop\, SLR will provide an overview of the project\, followed by a Q&A session. We hope to gather feedback on design preferences to maximize project benefits\, understand how people currently use the site\, and discuss potential impacts on the surrounding area. \nThe Bellows Farm Mill dam must either be repaired or removed to meet Massachusetts Office of Dam Safety standards\, and a recent inspection found that the Carlisle Road bridge is undersized and in poor condition.
