This art herstory presentation and ritual drum and voice performance with Barbara Gail presents the slide show that was the basis of the book “When the Drummers Were Women: A Spiritual History of Rhythm”, by the late Layne Redmond. Then and now, women use the beats of their frame drums to rouse community consciousness and attain spiritual awareness for healing and divination.
